Class Description:

· Learn to make a Thunder Gourd. So, what is a thunder gourd? It’s basically ahollow gourd with an opening on the bottom for the sound to come out because at the bottom is a drumhead attached with a spring. The vibrations of the spring are absorbed by the drum, and it amplifies the sound inside the gourd. Our teacher will be Gary ZUMWALT, an old friend of Claudia Herber.  Gary has taught thunder gourds for years and is a wealth of information and experience.

Come prepared to put a simple, attractive design on your gourd. Once that is completed, Gary will take us through the steps to turn our gourds into wonderful sound machines with a hanger.

Bring your lunch and drinks. We will be outside on Joan’s deck and hopefully, you’ll need a sun hat!

To RSVP, send Claudia a text 949-235-3321 or email cherber1945@gmail.com
