This coiled piece draws inspiration from Mimbres pottery, a Native American tribe once from New Mexico. In this class, you’ll attach hand-dyed Danish cord to a gourd’s edge with waxed linen cord, transition between open and closed coiling to create stair steps and add beads for decoration. Coiling experience is helpful but not required.
